Use Of AI Statement

Pakuan Management Studies Review recognizes the increasing use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in scholarly communication. To uphold academic integrity and publication ethics, the journal establishes the following principles regarding the responsible use of AI in the preparation and evaluation of manuscripts.

The use of AI tools must not compromise the originality, integrity, and accountability of scholarly work. Authors, reviewers, and editors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, authenticity, and ethical standards of all submitted and published materials, regardless of the use of AI-assisted technologies.

The journal adopts the following overarching principles:

  • Author and reviewer responsibility. Authors and peer reviewers are fully responsible and accountable for the content of their work. The use of AI tools does not reduce or transfer this responsibility in any way.
  • Responsible and transparent use of AI. AI tools must be used ethically and transparently. Authors should ensure that any use of AI does not violate academic integrity, authorship criteria, or intellectual property rights. Where appropriate, the use of AI tools should be disclosed.
  • AI as a supportive tool. AI may be used to support the research and writing process, but it must not replace human intellectual contribution, critical thinking, or scholarly judgment.

The use of generative AI tools to produce substantive content, including drafting, writing, or generating original ideas and analysis, is not permitted. Manuscripts must reflect the authors’ own intellectual contributions.

However, the use of AI tools for language editing, formatting, and improving clarity of the manuscript is permitted, provided that the original content is created by the authors and remains under their full responsibility.

Pakuan Management Studies Review reserves the right to evaluate manuscripts for inappropriate use of AI tools and may reject submissions that do not comply with these ethical standards.
