Duties of Editors

The editors of Pakuan Management Studies Review are responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of all published content. Editorial decisions are made based solely on the academic merit, originality, clarity, and relevance of the manuscript to the journal’s scope, without discrimination regarding the authors’ background, affiliation, or personal characteristics. Editors must maintain fairness, objectivity, and confidentiality throughout the review process.

Editors are also responsible for ensuring a transparent and unbiased peer-review process. They must avoid any conflicts of interest and take appropriate action when ethical concerns arise, including cases of plagiarism, data fabrication, or redundant publication. In such cases, editors may reject the manuscript or take corrective actions in accordance with publication ethics standards.

Reviewers should assess the manuscript based on its academic quality, originality, clarity, and relevance, and provide feedback that helps authors improve their work.

Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents and must not use any information obtained during the review process for personal advantage. They should declare any potential conflicts of interest and decline to review manuscripts where such conflicts exist. Reviewers are also expected to identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors.

Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Pakuan Management Studies Review acknowledges the growing use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in academic writing and research. Authors may use AI tools to assist in language editing or improving readability; however, AI tools must not be used to generate substantive scholarly content, data, or analysis without proper verification and accountability.

Authors are fully responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and originality of their work, regardless of the use of AI tools. Any use of AI should be disclosed transparently where appropriate. AI tools cannot be listed as authors, as they do not meet the criteria for authorship, including accountability and responsibility for the content.

The journal reserves the right to evaluate manuscripts for potential misuse of AI and may reject submissions that violate ethical standards related to authorship, originality, or data integrity.
